Charity begets charity. When something is given to a deserving recipient as an act of kindness it can create a ripple effect. This ripple effect spurs others to give as well.
Recently the Lexington Dispatch reported on an upcoming open house and fundraiser at the Creasey home. The Creasey family will be featured on an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”. The episode was filmed this past November. Hedrick Creative Building and a large group of volunteers built a new home for the family as an act of charity for Tricia Creasey. Tricia is a seventh-grade teacher at Brown Middle School and has been diagnosed with rectal/colon cancer. She has devoted her life to giving to others and it was fitting that she would be on the receiving end in her and her family’s time of need.
The family announced that they would host an “Extreme Thank You Walk-Through” on February 20th and 21st as a thank you to the community and to raise money for some worthy causes. The community will be treated to a tour of the Creasey family home for a small donation. These donations will benefit Davidson County Cancer Services and Relay for Life.
